NICET Level 1 Prep Class
This course is designed to prepare participants for the NICET Level I Fire Alarm Systems Certification Exam by building a strong foundation in fire alarm systems, applicable codes, and exam preparation strategies. Topics include a review of relevant NFPA 72 chapters, introduction to NFPA 70, basic electronics, OSHA requirements, code book navigation, and effective study and test-taking techniques. Participants will also complete practice exams and learn how to navigate the NICET website for certification resources and exam information. This course supports career advancement and successful preparation for NICET Level I certification. Students will need their NFPA 70 2020 and NFPA 72 2022 during class. Students will need to purchase the NTC Red Book to take this class. The book is available at NTC Bookstore | National Training Center. (IECC does not sell this book.) 48 Hour Fire Alarm Class
Hands On Fire Alarm Class IEC National Fire Alarm Systems Curriculum. This Course is based on Requirements specified in NFPA’s National Fire Alarm Code– NFPA 72. This unique and informative 48 hour course will provide qualified journeyman electricians and low voltage technicians with knowledge necessary for working on fire alarm systems. NICET Level I Test Prep Course
Course will help prepare you for the NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Systems certification exam. Virtual Live class. Four days/two hours each evening. Students will need to purchase the NTC Red Book in order to take this class. The book is available at the National Training Center's Bookstore. (IECC does not sell this book.) Students may also find the Orange Book and Field Notes helpful. Students will need their NFPA 70 2020 and NFPA 72 2022 during class.Class not currently available at this time.
NFPA 70E, OSHA and You
Some requirements contained in NFPA 70E are in direct violation of OSHA requirements and can result in serious or even willful OSHA citations. Learn what they are and how to apply 70E to be OSHA compliant. OSHA policy and enforcement approach as well as what OSHA looks for will be explained by "Grizzy" who trains OSHA inspectors all across the nation. All attendees will need to bring the following items to class: Their voltmeter/multimeter, their insulated gloves and leather protectors, one article of arc rated clothing they have, and possibly some/a couple of their most used hand tools including insulated tools if they have them. The purpose of this is to perform the required inspections on their equipment while the instructor explains the inspection requirements contained in the standards in class.Class not currently available at this time.
