IMPORTANT INFORMATION
ABOUT APPLYING TO THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Application Deadline Dates are July 15th for Fall Session and December 1st for January Session.

Documents

All applicants must provide clear and legible copies of the following documents, along with the completed application and processing fees.
Applications received without all required documents and processing fees will not be processed (copies only, no originals please):

  1. Driver's License/Government issued ID
  2. Social Security Card
  3. High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  4. One Letter of Personal Reference
  5. OSHA10 in Construction
  6. Apprenticeship Agreement Forms (all applicants must complete one of the MD agreement forms regardless of residency as most employers register their students with MD).
    1. MD FORM (MUST BE COMPLETED FOR THE PROGRAM YOU ARE APPLYING FOR, YOU WILL ALSO COMPLETE A VIRGINIA FORM IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT IN VIRGINIA)
      1. ELECTRICAL Program Applicants (MD Form): Electrical Apprenticeship Agreement
      2. TELECOM Program Applicants (MD Form): Telecom Apprenticeship Agreement
    2. VA FORM COMPLETE IF YOU ARE A VIRGINIA RESIDENT - YOU MUST ALSO COMPLETE A MD FORM (ONLY COMPLETE THE FORM FOR THE PROGRAM YOU ARE APPLYING FOR)
      1. ELECTRICAL Program Applicants (VA Form): Electrical Apprenticeship Agreement
      2. TELECOM Program Applicants (VA Form): Telecom Apprenticeship Agreement

Optional Form: Disability Disclosure Form

Additionally the following documents may also be required:

  1. Letter From Employer Recommending You For Online Training: If opting for online classes.
  2. Transcripts: If transferring from another apprenticeship program.
Fees

Processing:
$70.00: Mandatory processing fee.

*All fees are non-refundable and are subject to change. Submitting an application does not designate you as a state registered apprentice.

Guidelines For Acceptance To Program:

1. Proof of successful completion of OSHA10 in Construction is required to be submitted with application.

2. Upon enrollment you must be employed full time in the electrical or communication trade, under the direction of a licensed electrician.
